Intimate. Sustainable. Unforgettable.

Our Ethos

Imagine this: the great outdoors as your church. The sound of waves, or birdsong, or tropical rain, as your music. The lush green of the rainforest your backdrop and a remote stretch of sand or the rocks beneath a rushing waterfall, your aisle.

Roatán isn't extravagant, which is part of what draws people here. It's full of locales that effortlessly embody paradise - picturesque sandy beaches, glorious, rugged coastlines, deep, emerald-green jungles - some of the most beautiful and isolated locations this world has to offer. Here, you can breathe in an experience, instead of checking things off of a to-do list. At ROAM, we ensure your day feels the same way: sweet, relaxed & unfiltered.

How It Works

  • Step 1: Connect

We want to get to know you and your partner better! Once you send us your inquiry, our team will reach out to you within 48 hours, with package info and to schedule a video call.

We'll discuss your vision & budget, and then, you'll fill out a short questionnaire to help us ensure that the moment is deeply meaningful & memorable to both of you.

  • Step 2: Plan

We'll review our pre-made packages, and discuss custom options that would suit. We take your vision, your ideas, and ours, and turn it into a tangible plan.

No idea what you want? No problem! We take care of every detail. Have as little or as much input as you want to. You can select your dream vendor team, iron out the details together, or leave it to us. We've got you.

  • Step 3: Experience

From here on out, the process is simple. We'll connect you with your vendors so you can follow along on Instagram and let the excitement build.

We'll stay in touch leading up to your date, and we're here if you have any questions. Otherwise, we'll see you at the altar, where you'll enjoy a stress-free celebration of your love amidst the beauty of Central America.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your inclusivity policy?

Love is love. We joyfully celebrate all people in love.

Ceremony Details
Can we invite guests?

Absolutely! With our elopement packages, you can invite up to 10 guests to your ceremony, standing room only. There may be the option to add chairs for guests, depending on the ceremony location.

Our minimony package includes seating at the ceremony and dinner for up to ten guests, while our micro-wedding package includes seating and dinner for up to twenty five. If you have more guests, we can customize a package for up to fifty!

Can I have a wedding party?

Yes! And, if you want your dad to walk you down the aisle, that's great too. Just because you're eloping, that doesn't mean you can't have the traditions you've always dreamed of.

What will the ceremony be like?

Our default is a short & sweet ceremony, personalized to you, but it's completely your call. You can go in depth into your love story, and include fun rituals like ring warming, handfasting, and a sand ceremony. The typical ceremony length is around twenty to thirty minutes.

What's the best time of day for my ceremony?

If you're choosing a heavy traffic area for your ceremony (like a public park, beach or waterfall), mornings are ideal, as there are typically fewer people around. For photography, mornings and late afternoons are best, as midday sun can be harsh in the tropics!

What happens after the ceremony?

If you choose our Pura Vida package, there's a beautiful dinner for two included. Our Minimony & Micro-Wedding packages both include a reception. But really, the sky's the limit, babes. Check into a luxe hotel, hop on a plane. This is your day, you do what you want - and we can, of course, help you plan the whole thing.

Can we add videography and extra photography?

Of course! Each of our packages offers a specific duration of photography coverage, ranging from 2 hours (Sweet + Simple) to 6 hours (Minimony & Micro-Wedding). You can add additional hours of photography if you wish, and all packages have the option to add videography.

Can we add extra florals?

Extra florals is a great way to add your personal touch. You can add extra personal flowers, including flower crowns, bridesmaid bouquets, kids' crowns and additional boutonnieres, or decor florals, hanging arrangements, bud vases and more. Reach out and let us know what you have in mind!

What if I have my own photographer?

No prob. We are happy to connect with your photographer to ensure all the details and logistics are ironed out. When you book with us, we can make elopement vendor recommendations or you are welcome to seek out your own.

Booking + Payment
How far out should we book?

The sooner the better! While we have been able to accommodate a few elopements and legal marriages the week after booking, booking early means you have more choice with your date and time, and access to our best vendors. It also allows more time for your officiant to personalize and prepare for your ceremony.

Is full payment due right away?

Once a contract has been signed, a deposit payment of $3500 is due within two business days. The specific payment terms depend on the package selected.

Can I use a credit card to pay?

Yes, you can use a credit card for payment. We will issue you an invoice via Stripe. There is a 4% fee for USD credit cards, and a 6% fee for credit cards that require currency conversion.

What's the best low-cost option for payment?

The easiest, cheapest payment option is via Wise (previously known as TransferWise). This service allows you to do a low-cost international bank transfer. You can also send a wire transfer from your bank.

Travel
What is the best time of year to get married in Central America?

The best time to visit Central America is between December & April. Shoulder season, in May and November, is also an excellent time to get married in Central America - it's not as crowded as it is during high season, and not as rainy as it is during green season.

Can you help us make travel arrangements?

Yes! Our sister company, ROAM Wild Travel, specializes in honeymoons and special event travel in Central America. We are happy to help you and your guests plan anything you need to.
